Municipal District Inspections:

We offer a variety of inspection services for municipal utility districts. As part of every utility districts ongoing desire to maintain and adhered to state requirements we offer the following inspection services:

  • Tank Inspections
  • Infrared Camera Inspections
  • Grease, lint, and oil trap inspections

Tank Inspections:

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires that all public water system ground or elevated storage tanks along with pressure storage tanks to be inspected annually. In addition, the interior of each pressure storage tank should be inspected at least every 5 years. As NACE certified inspectors we can customize an inspection plan for each facility within a utility district to ensure that each tank is being maintained and inspected as required.

Infrared Camera Inspections:

By performing infrared camera inspections we can provide the district with invaluable information regarding the condition of the breakers, starters, and electrical motors installed at water plants, wastewater treatment plants, and at lift stations. An infrared camera can detect overheating, faults, and other problems that the naked eye cannot. This allows repairs to be performed before costly repairs occur. This essential tool apart of every well-rounded preventative maintenance plan can be scheduled as often as desired. We generally recommend placing each facility on a bi-annual or annual schedule.

Grease, Lint, and Oil Trap Inspections:

It is in the best interest of the utility district to perform monthly inspections of the traps located within the district’s boundaries to ensure each business is properly maintaining their traps. This assists in ensuring the sewer plant is receiving only the waste products that should be leaving each business thereby reducing maintenance costs.
