Wood-Destroying Insect Inspections
Included free with every resale home inspection.
Termites and other wood-destroying insects eat wood and can cause great structural damage to a home. A typical homeowner’s insurance policy does not cover destruction caused by wood-destroying organisms, even though they cause over 1 billion dollars in damage to homes throughout the United States each year.
Our inspectors are licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture (license #0734966). We thoroughly inspect the home, looking for the signs of infestation. Some of the things we look for are:
- Mud tubes built for traveling above ground
- Pinholes in drywall or wallpaper
- Piles of small wings
- Damaged or hollow-sounding wood
- Small piles of sawdust
- Other specific termite indicators
